Paint Supplies

Paint supplies include a variety of materials used for various parts of painting processes. Examples of these materials include paints, paint brushes, mixing mediums, surfaces, and supplies for cleaning up and storage. Of course, the different types of painting processes will call for different materials.

When it comes to such paint supplies as colors and mediums, they are often either oil-based or water-based. Oil-based products are most often for use with oil paints. Water-based items may be for acrylics or watercolors. However, there are many more types of paints rather than just these.

It is important to remember that paint supplies are generally created to be ideal for a certain type of painting. For instance, watercolor brushes are often focused on mopping up a lot of color and pigment. Brushes for oil are in general more oriented to providing adequate support for controlled application.
